These are Florentine and Italian vacation (and some longer-term) rental properties posted for friends in Italy. Although I have visited or stayed in a number of these Florentine properties, I have not personally viewed them all. Vicino a Ponte Vecchio /Dimora San Niccolo

Quiet, Elegant, Very Spacious Apt 3S (@140 sqm = @1,500 sqft, sleeps 6-8 people) in Central Ancient Bldg w/Elevator, Minutes to major sights!
Fully furnished, non-smoking environment with decorated ceilings and breathtaking window views, on 3rd floor of an ancient Florentine building.
AC, 55" sat TV, washer+dryer.
Owners live in the same building and speak English.
Utilities are extra if your stay exceeds 14 nights.

The apartment consists of:
• BEDROOM#1 with solid walnut fixtures of exquisite workmanship: cabinets and antique chest of drawers with mirror, 2 antique beds (33" W x 75" L = cm.84 x 190); large built-in wardrobe; parquet floor.
• BEDROOM#2 with original 19th century ceiling decorations, double bed (66" W x 75" L = cm.168 x 190). Solid walnut fixtures of exquisite workmanship; large antique wardrobe and dresser with mirrors.
• BEDROOM#3 with a breathtaking view from the window, antique wardrobe, and chest of drawers with mirrors; a mosquito net. Choice of 2 single beds (33" W x 75" L = cm.84 x 190) or double bed (66” W x 75” L = cm.168 x 190).
• Very large LIVING ROOM with VERANDA. Large sofa bed/futon, couch, armchairs, table, chairs, buffet, cupboard, 55" large HD flatscreen TV, paintings, old upright piano (made in London in 1890), a 19th-century Chinoiserie dressing screen, a pendulum wall-clock, a 12-bottle wine cooler, parquet floor.
• KITCHEN with built-in sink, dishwasher, hob with oven, refrigerator w/freezer, old green pantry, old-styled wall clock, extendable table, and 6 chairs.
•Bathroom#1 with toilet, bidet, bathtub w/shower stall, basin, mirror, bathrobe hanger.
•Bathroom#2 with toilet, bidet, spacious shower stall, basin, mirror; wonderful view.

The apartment is equipped with:
• Air conditioning and independent heating in each room.
• Free high-speed wifi; 55" large HD flatscreen TV set.
• Kitchenware, utensils, microwave, toaster, kettle, American and Italian coffee makers.
• Towels, bed and kitchen linen; hairdryer, soap, and shampoo; first aid kit.

Other things to note

There are EIGHT steps from street level to the elevator. Steps are 4 feet wide, they are even and not steep, with handrails on both walls.

There are also two other lovely apartments available in this fabulously located building full of Florentine charm. Great for those wanting to be near but not in il centro di Firenze.

Vicino a Piazza Beccaria

Beautiful 4-bedroom/3-bathroom apartment in stately 1850s palazzo located in a locally Florentine area of Firenze. While close to all the sites of il Centro, I would recommend this lovely apartment to those already familiar with the maijor sites of Firenze and who desire a deeper more local appreciation of the city and its neighborhoods, particularly, il Mercato Sant' Ambrogio and Via Gioberti, including all the wonderful restaurants located there, including low-key but fantastic Trattoria Cesarino. The apartment is on two floors and sleeps 10 (though especially comfortable for my family of 4!).
It is a large and sunny, aristocratic-feeling flat, with a terrace, and private parking in the garden of the palazzo. It is a harmonious mixture of antic fine furniture and paintings, with contemporary paintings by Francesca Leoni, a talented Florentine artist, and modern architectonic elements. Full air conditioning, WI FI, and elevator. All walls are painted with organic lime pigment, wood floors are treated with organic oil.

Parking available on request, 30€ x day x car, inside the garden of the palazzo. Really enjoyed this apartment when I stayed here for 3 weeks in 2016! Short and longer term stays available.

Palazzo Aldobrandini del Papa

Vicino a San Lorenzo and Il Mercato Centrale

This elegant, historic apartment looks out onto the Capelle Medicee of San Lorenzo church in Piazza di Madonna degli Aldobrandini. it is a bustling neighborhood -- one of the oldest dimore in Florence. Also close to the Church of Santa Maria Novella, you really cannot get much more surrounded by the hustle and bustle of Florence than this.

Three bedrooms and four baths, with eight rooms total, this piano nobile apartment includes beautiful frescoes and quality period furniture, while still offering modern comforts including air conditioning and WIFI. Rent for 30 days or a shorter term. If you prefer to be stylishly in the center of the action, this is the apartment for you!
